Body and Gift: John Paul II’s Theology of the Body in Simple Language - by Sam Torode. Like the study guide, it also covers the first section of the Theology of the Body, Original Unity of Man and Woman. Part 2 (Purity of Heart) covers the second section Blessed Are the Pure of Heart. Parts 3 & 4 are coming soon and will cover the sections on heaven, celibacy, marriage and Humanae Vitae. They are beautiful hardcover gift books. The first is $12.95 and the second is $12.95. They also make great study group books on their own.

Introductory Handouts on Love and Responsibility, The Theology of the Body, and the Dignity and Vocation of Women: Samples can be found at www.popeday.com under the Materials section. The 32-page L&R publication contains short articles and many excerpts from the text. It is available in boxes of 150 copies for $75.00 each. The 12-page ToB publication briefly describes the main points of the theology of the body and then contains choice quotes from the text which illustrate the themes. We have a pre-print edition available now, but will soon be printing a large run and will have them available for mass distribution and purchase by the box. The same goes for the publication on the Dignity of Women. All three have gotten a wonderful response so far! Christopher West also has a study guide, Naked Without Shame II which is helpful for understanding the concepts of the Theology of the Body. It retails at $9.95. His book the Theology of the Body Explained ($29.95) is also an excellent resource. His first book Good News About Sex and Marriage ($11.95) is wonderful for use with his Good News About Sex and Marriage Seminar, available in audio cassette, video tape or CD. His most recent book the Theology of the Body for Beginners ($11.95) is also a great option.
